Now all we have to do is get all the social media presence up and functional. I'm blogging this from my phone. We are on out way. Wanna have the kickstarter up by the weekend. Tomorrow this time it'll be venue hunter time. Bare with me y'all.

The Next Step

Finally Got The site up and working. TheStateOfTheArtTour.com is operational. Have a few bugs to work out but atlesast we finally got it up. This week is critical as we begin a new month. Time to reach out to venues. Want to lock down about 20 main spots then about 20 more fill in spots in an around those areas. Plan to have those locked down by next month this time so we can announce them the first week in June. Stay tuned yall.

Building blocks

This past week has been crazy. Everything is falling into place and everyone involved is excited about what we have planned. Now is the time to start really putting the pieces together. I have almost finished all the initial promotional press work for the tour. The site will be up shortly as well as presence on every social networking site. Still looking to land a few more sponsors but I'm sure that will come with time. Feeling blessed that some many people believe in what we are doing. This week I have a show with Laura Reed, Actual Proof, and J Memory at Southland Ballroom in Raleigh NC. My last non tour related show until we hit the road. Haven't even begun preparing for it but I'm sure we will pull it off. This tour is my main focus right now but balancing everything else i have going on beyond the tour and still staying focused has proven tougher than I thought it would be. Its all part of the game tho. And I'm Ready.

In The The Beginning, There was ...

Peace yall. This is the first entry along our journey that is The State Of The Art Tour. We are still in the building phases right now but I've never been this excited about something. I have reached out to some acts that I respect musically as we as personally to accompany me on this. Those folks included Kaj Kadence, Sarah Kaboom, Chris Millz, Young Free and Wreck-n-Crew. All of whom have movements of their own emerging in the great state of NC. I am lucky in the regard that these individuals believe in what I'm doing enough to agree without any persuasion. Mutual respect is key when building something and I honestly believe that we have something that will not only change our own lives and careers, but will energize our state at the bring alot of attention to this scene in which we are all a part of an love. If NC wins we all win and that is the motivation. Stay tuned yall. Each of us will have a day wherein we blog every week while on the tour so make sure you keep up with us every step of the way.
